This book provides valuable information about leading and directing transmission and distribution line crews, the primary audience for this book are frontline supervisors, line foremen, general foremen, superintendents, etc. When I was first promoted to line foreman I had no real training and education on how to lead and direct my crew other than my observations and experiences as a lineman. In my opinion, that is still the way the majority of the industry runs. Constructing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting the electric power grid is challenging and daunting, both physically and mentally. The utility’s frontline supervisors are the lynch pin to keeping the grid running and providing safe and reliable electric service.
